If you can come away with a good taste in your mouth, you are much tougher than I. What bothers me more than the absence of feeling is the automatic behavior. The only part of this that was not like a huge, soul-less machine was a single man looking, and the cast of thousands of animals.
Nothing horrific that Hollywood can bring is as disturbing as this, it seems to me. Because it's real. And accepted. And because we have chosen not to see these things.
I have never seen such a strong statement about dependency in my life. Are we rats in a lab experiment? How did we get here? Why are we willing?
