Grandson got called up to the next higher age bracket - first at bat!
His dad tells me this:
He was standing in so the Beavers could have a full squad. He's still on his original Mariners team for the rest of the season, but has a standing invitation to come play with the Beavers. He held his own. Couple walks with a couple solid foul balls, one hit, great fielding at first base, third base, and outfield. Threw a run-saving rocket from shallow left field to the catcher, and stole his first base. Good stuff.
